Human Resources Overview:
The RiverStone Health Human Resources Department delivers innovative specialized human resource services to help attract and retain a high performing diverse workforce that creates a healthy work environment. We provide a wide range of human resource management functions for all RiverStone Health departments and administer a comprehensive HRIS Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG). We are all about changing the way government does things and being modern building modern compensation practices procedures and audits that will support current and future workforce and ensure fair pay practices.
Job Summary:
The HR Assistant performs a variety of duties that will provide general support for the HR team as well as providing general assistance to employees with questions for Human Resources. The HR Assistant provides guidance to employees on general human resources support including onboarding/recruitment; processes employee changes; assembles personnel and medical files; assists with backup for payroll; and other HR duties as needed.
Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. HR Assistant Services 95%
- Verify computer data entries of new employee files and changes in existing employee files (Ultimate Kronos Group/UKG).
- Maintain employee files for record and retention keeping.
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring termination leaves transfers or promotions using human resources management system software.
- Process Personnel Action Notice (PAN form) for employee status wage terminations and supervision changes. Responsible for tracking and updating employee files and UKG licenses and years of service information.
- Assist with scheduling or conducting new employee orientations.
- Assists with onboarding of new hires including processing documents for E-Verify background checks and for creation of employee records.
- Verify adherence to policies and procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations.
- Completion of employment verifications including verbal VOEs for employment bank loans child support etc.
- Conduct pre-employment reference checks via phone or email for all new employees.
- Confer with the CPO HR Manager and outside auditors on annual audit requests reports and inquiries.
- Provides support to RiverStone Health Recruitment team
- Assists with setting up HR Orientation conference room and other conference rooms as needed for interviews and HR functions.
- Orders supplies as needed for the HR team.
- Complete special reports and other documentation as necessary.
- Attends trainings and conferences necessary for the department.

Education and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of Human Resources experience and familiarity with state and federal law.
Any combination of experience education and training which provides the equivalent scope of knowledge skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- SHRM Certified Professional (CP) or HRCI Professional in Human Resources (PHR)
- Experience working with Ultimate Kronos Group (UKG) or comparable HRIS
- Knowledge of UKG workflows configuration and report generation
- Experience working in a customer service environment
Required Certificates Licenses Registrations:
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Enhanced knowledge of HR Information Systems (HRIS)
- Computer literacy in Microsoft O365 Suite
Knowledge of modern office procedures practices and equipment

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and carry a laptop and other small items to walk short distances and drive a vehicle to satellite locations and conferences.
Ability to see details near and far recognize color differences and focus on fine details like small print and/or instruments required.
Create and maintain a safe/secure working environment by adhering to safety security and health requirements. Integrate injury illness and loss prevention into job activities by attending any necessary training and implementing best practices.
