About this Position
This position is responsible for the design installation and maintenance of OSUs network and telephone services. Additionally this position will analyze the status of current network systems and recommend changes to improve telecommunications services and security.
Due to communication expectations of the position the incumbent will be required to maintain cellular or other electronic communication device. The incumbents salary includes additional compensation to apply toward the use of their personal cellular device.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and repetitive climbing of stairs and ladders. Position may also require occasional travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
One year of network engineering experience.
- Requires interaction with supervisors colleagues and students using clear communication tact discretion and independent judgement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Computer Science Management of Information Systems Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Five years of enterprise network engineering experience.
- Certifications Registrations and/or Licenses: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) Network
