Job Description:
We are looking for a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Fuel Systems Engineer to join our Airbus Protect Fuel Team in Filton.
The role
Assess new functionality to systems within Fuel Team new and modified requirements to the system and cascade them to suppliers;
Support the customers Systems Engineers and Signatories in the development of System-Level Architecture Sub-Systems and Equipment;
Perform roles that require internal interfacing with Engineers Certification Specialists and Procurement and external interface roles such as supplier and vendor management;
Lead and support the management and completion of deliverables to the customer to meet the project milestones as per the Systems Development Process and Project lifecycle;
Support and Lead Project Management activities in the support of meeting deliverable targets to the customer;
Support phase reviews and Validation and Verification activities ensuring activity meets safety and technical needs;
Authoring technical reports including design drivers architectures and test results;
Support the development of the Certification standards as well as the new system architectures and equipment for a future aircraft;
Leading and managing Sustainable Aviation Fuel system trade studies.
In Addition
As part of a consultancy as required support work outside of Aircraft Fuel perimeter detailed above such as bid work and support to Airbus Protects wider work portfolio in the Sustainability Domain.
Are you the one
Experience required:
You hold an Engineering degree relevant to aviation system design (e.g. Thermo-fluid/Mechanical/Electrical/Controls);
Experienced Engineer with 3 years of experience with minimum ideally supporting Aircraft Fuel system design activities.
Knowledge in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) and its application within the Aerospace industry including Regulations & Standard.
Experience in systems based engineering including requirements management and Validation & Verification all the way through to certification.
Track record of leading complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and staff members.
Experience in Life Cycle Assessment of SAF is desirable.
Experience of Project Management is desirable.

Strong ability lead and manage a project team (i.e Work Package management);
Team player keen to share their knowledge and work collaboratively within a fairly small team;
Customer centric and able to build relationships in a matrix environment;
You have very good communication and negotiation skills;
You are autonomous curious proactive rigorous with great attention to detail;
Fluent in English (verbal and written).
