Summary:

AGAT Laboratories is currently hiring for a Laboratory Technician to join our Mineralogy Labworking out of our Calgary AB facility. The Laboratory TechnicianC is an entry- level position into the laboratory and will work with variousinstrumentation. This position is given direction from the Laboratory Supervisor and assists with administrative and basic laboratory activities.

Please note this is a seasonal position with an anticipated end date of March 6th 2026.

What you will be doing:

• Perform basic laboratory procedures including preparation of samples reagents and calibration solutions.
• Provide general lab support including washing glassware cleaning work stations and waste disposal.
• Operate a variety of laboratory equipment including but not limited to XRD XRF TGA and Magnetic Separatorinstrumentation.
• Calibrate operate maintain and troubleshoot intermediate instruments.
• Compile verify and validate accurate data records.
• Meet quality assurance and turn around specifications.
• Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report results.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the table:

• Post-secondary education with a Technical Diploma/Science Degree or equivalent industry experience
• 0-2 years of experience
• Previous laboratory work experience.
• Basic computer skills with experience with MS office and LIMS.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English both verbal and written.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment.
• Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Mature work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds on a consistent basis.
