About the Role
This full-time permanent position involves teaching Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3KS5 helping students develop lifelong skills in health nutrition and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver practical creative lessons in modern teaching kitchens
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level coursework
Lead enrichment such as cooking clubs food competitions and healthy living workshops
Promote sustainability and cultural diversity in food education
ECT Support and Development:
Two-year induction with mentor support
Weekly CPD and lesson study groups
Excellent departmental resources and team collaboration
Opportunities to develop leadership and curriculum skills
Facilities and Resources:
State-of-the-art kitchens with digital demonstration tools
Well-resourced department with dedicated technician support
Experience and Qualifications:
PGCE with QTS (or pending) in Food Technology or related field
Strong practical teaching and classroom management skills
Enthusiasm for food health and sustainability education
