HI-Sterile Processing Tech (1124)

Any traveler not currently inpossession of an active State of HI license must apply upon acceptance ofoffer. Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. General job duties: Clean disinfect and sterilize surgical instruments Ortho sets and equipment. Inspect clean and reprocess Endoscopes manually and automated using AER. Inspect assemble and wrap instrument trays for surgical procedures Operate autoclaves Vpro max AER and other sterilization equipment. Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes. Ensure proper functioning of equipment through daily weekly and monthly routine checks and logs Assemble surgery case carts with supplies timely Retrieve supplies stock and rotate following FIFO (first in first out) Follow AAMI AORN OSHA and facility specific protocols Assist with OR staff departments and outer clinics with sterilization needs to ensure timely readiness of sterile supplies. Follow all hospital infection control and safety standards. Stay up to date with best practices equipment in servicing and all required education. Types of Cases: General Surgery Orthopedic Cardiothoracic OB/GYN Urology Plastics & Reconstructive Vascular Pediatric Robotic-Assisted Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Minimum experience required: High School Diploma or equivalent required Certified through CRCST or CBSPD 2 years at minimum of recent experience in a sterile processing department in a hospital or surgical center.
