Job Summary

Role: Mainframe Software Development Specialist

Location: Jersey City NJ Westlake TX (Onsite)

Type: Contract

We have a Mainframe Engineer/Developer opening that represents an outstanding opportunity to further develop an individuals career in technology by supporting our business partners to ensure projects are implemented with the highest quality.
This Mainframe Engineer is part of a high energetic team responsible for code research development testing and will work with environment groups to integrate and support changes from development to test to production environments.

Basic Qualifications:

5 years of experience in mainframe coding and debugging
5 years of experience with CICS COBOL
3-5 years experience with DB2 VSAM MQ and JCL

Preferred Skills:

Good CICS System knowledge
Good understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing process
Should be familiar with DB2 tools File-Aid scheduler and debugger tools
Good communication and ability to interact with Partners.
General knowledge in core Java and Front-end Technologies (Angular) is plus
Endeavor Software Manager migration tool/process
SFTP/AWXAY Secure File transfer knowledge
Ability to work independently and within a team structure

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or relevant academics required
