Position: Survey CAD Technician / Survey Drafter
Location: Savannah GA
Type: Full-time On-site

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey CAD Technician to join a growing civil engineering planning and land surveying team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in preparing plats and survey documents using AutoCAD or similar software. Youll collaborate closely with field crews engineers and project managers to produce high-quality surveying deliverables for a range of land development projects.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with survey data collectors and field crews to process and interpret field data
Prepare office surveys and reduce field notes for accuracy
Perform basic mathematical and trigonometric calculations as needed
Create plats as-built drawings tree and topographic surveys and other exhibits using AutoCAD
Analyze data for accuracy completeness and reasonableness
Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers project managers and team members

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required
Formal training in a surveying-related field is a plus
Minimum of 2 years of experience in surveying technology or a related discipline
Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential
Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high attention to detail
Demonstrated integrity professionalism and reliability
