Duties
- Install and service low voltage systems (access control intrusion CCTV A/V data cabling & phone systems.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and repairs on existing low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cabling connections and low voltage system functionality.
- Comprehend & interpret system schematics blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Provide field service support by responding to service calls and performing on-site evaluations.
- Document all installations repairs and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology to enhance service offerings.
- Collaborate with team members in field & administratively to meet deadlines & expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and local codes/regulations.
Skills
- Proficiency in detecting issues within low voltage systems and implementing effective solutions.
- Experience in field service operations with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Expertise in cabling techniques for various low voltage applications.
- Ability to design comprehensive low voltage systems that meet client specifications.
- Experience as a low voltage service technician with hands-on skills & fundamentals of 12 volt electrical work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus!
- Minimum 2 years experience with low voltage systems.
- Familiarity with hand & power tools.
- OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Scissor/boom lift certification.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Valid driving license & clean driving record.
- Background check/drug test required for employment.
