Job Summary
Description
RPO Recruitments client leading and well-established Quantity Surveying firm based in Johannesburg is seeking a Candidate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who is looking to grow within a reputable firm and gain exposure to high-profile projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates bills of quantities and tender documentation.
- Support the senior QS team in cost planning contract administration and project cost control.
- Conduct measurements valuations and progress assessments.
- Liaise with contractors clients and consultants throughout all project stages.
- Prepare and review financial reports variation orders and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards contractual requirements and quality procedures.
Requirements:
- BSc (Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying from a recognised institution
- Registered as a Candidate Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP
- Minimum 35 years post-graduate experience on commercial mixed-use or similar projects
- Proficiency in WinQS DimensionX and MS Office
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (JBCC FIDIC NEC etc.)
- Excellent analytical communication and organisational skills
- A proactive detail-oriented and team-focused approach
