Job Summary

Minimum Requirements

An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Project Management or Information Technology; A minimum of 3 years Project Management experience in training projects; A valid (Code B or higher) driving licence. NB: People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities but who have reasonable access to transport may also apply.



Competencies

Knowledge of the following: Legislation regulatory frameworks policies and best practices that have a bearing on the line functions; Project management methodologies and processes; Procurement and tendering processes; Financial budget and cashflow processes; Public service systems of governance and administration procedures and processes; National provincial and local political economic and social affairs impacting on the Western Cape Government; Constitutional legal and institutional arrangements governing the South African public sector; Public finance human resources and discourse management processes; Public Finance Management Act National and Provincial Treasury Regulations other financial policies prescripts directives and collective agreements; Functioning and policies of the Western Cape Government; Labour Relations legislation and regulations; Performance management in general; Project Management best practices theory and methodology (PMBOK Prince 2; Agile); Training and learning methodologies.

Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer Literacy; Written and verbal communication; Project Management; Financial Management and Audit strategic planning; Risk management and Monitoring and Evaluation; Procurement and supply chain processes; Budgeting reporting stakeholder engagement; Facilitation and problem-solving.
