- Prepare and present exceptional pastries desserts and baked goods to the highest standards.
- Support the hot and cold kitchen sections as required (CDP duties).
- Maintain consistency in quality taste and presentation across all dishes.
- Uphold all health safety and hygiene protocols in line with HACCP standards.
- Contribute innovative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and mentoring junior team members.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or CDP within a fine dining or boutique hotel environment.
- A formal culinary qualification is advantageous.
- Demonstrated pastry and dessert skills with a strong eye for detail and presentation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic kitchen environment.
- A team-oriented attitude with a passion for excellence and hospitality.
- Willingness to relocate or commute to Simons Town.
