Regional Sales Executive - Chicago

We are seeking a Senior Sales Executive to join a global innovator in lighting and energy-efficient technologies leading growth within the Trade (Industrial and Commercial) Channel across the Chicago and Midwest markets. This strategic position is designed for a driven sales leader who thrives on building relationships expanding channel partnerships and delivering performance-driven lighting solutions that elevate energy efficiency and design excellence.

The role offers the opportunity to represent a globally recognized brand with advanced technologies and a strong market reputation. Youll spend most of your time in the field cultivating relationships with electrical distributors authorized agents contractors and key decision-makers involved in major construction and renovation projects across both public and private sectors. If you excel at shaping market strategy influencing at the executive level and converting opportunities into measurable growth this position offers the next step in your career.

What Youll Do:

  • Drive Market Growth by leading territory expansion across industrial and commercial trade channels achieving revenue and margin objectives.

  • Cultivate Strategic Partnerships with distributors specifiers and agents to strengthen brand presence and capture new market share.

  • Lead the Sales Process through consultative engagement opportunity qualification contract negotiation and project closure.

  • Deliver Technical Expertise by positioning energy-efficient and smart lighting solutions that meet complex customer requirements.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally with marketing product management and executive leadership to ensure alignment and customer success.

What Were Looking For

We are looking for a strategic self-driven sales professional with strong business acumen and technical insight. Candidates should possess a bachelors degree and 35 years of progressive outside sales experience ideally within the lighting electrical or building technologies industry. The ideal individual demonstrates proven success in B2B or channel sales excels in relationship-building and territory leadership and is proficient with Salesforce CRM.

A combination of consultative selling skills market analytics and executive-level communication will be key to success in this role. Experience navigating complex multi-stakeholder projects in construction or retrofit environments is highly advantageous.
