The Department of Art and Design at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position in print media at the rank of lecturer. This is for the spring 2026 semester only and has a start date of January 1 2026.
The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong conceptual and technical background in traditional and contemporary printmaking with a commitment to health and safety addition the successful candidate will have the ability to teach a broad range of print media processes including silkscreen etching (intaglio) lithography and relief printing and will also be responsible for day-to-day oversight of the MTSU Printmaking facilities including three lithography presses four etching presses digital lab and a screenprint studio with exposure units and hydro booth.
An MFA with an emphasis in print media (printmaking) is required by the appointment date.
Applicants with two (2) years of full-time teaching experience in pint media or 2D studio art courses beyond a graduate assistantship will receive special consideration.
