Job Summary

This FMCG company located in Pasir Gudang area is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the HR Manager in running the department. You will be handling the full spectrum of HR functions overseeing the work of other executives collecting and analysing data presenting the companys performance and supporting in all HR operations.

Other responsibilities:
  • Report directly to the Human Resource Manager providing comprehensive assistance in HR operations and initiatives.
  • Provide support to APAC branches on HR-related matters ensuring alignment with organizational policies and regional requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive HR reports to support management decisions.
  • Support recruitment processes including job postings candidate screening and onboarding activities.
  • Handle and manage Trade Union matters including negotiations grievance handling and ensuring compliance with collective agreements.
  • Coordinate employee relations conflict resolution and disciplinary actions in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage payroll processing ensuring accuracy timeliness and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the administration of compensation benefits and performance management programs.
  • Support the development and delivery of employee training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with local HR policies employment laws and regulations.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for HR projects and initiatives.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional HR experience.
  • Can work independently and get tasks done on time.
  • Can communicate well and manage executives.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing Trade Union matters including collective bargaining and labour relations.
  • Excellent command of English language with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth understanding of HR practices employment laws and regulations in Malaysia.
  • Exceptional organizational interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.



Required Skills:

Education Requirements: Bachelors degree or above preferably in Human Resources Management Business Administration Psychology or other related majors. Work Experience: At least 58 years of experience in human resources including no less than 3 years in overseas HR management or as a core member of an HR team in a multinational company. Prior experience in a Chinese multinational enterprise is preferred. Language Skills: Proficient in listening speaking reading and writing in both Chinese and English. Professional Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of all HR modules; familiarity with local labor laws social security policies and HR management practices in major countries; strong compliance management capabilities. Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills cross-cultural team management ability problem-solving skills and project execution skills; proficient in Office software and HR management systems. Personal Qualities: Strong sense of responsibility and professionalism high stress tolerance ability to adapt to overseas travel or long-term assignments abroad; strong professional ethics and confidentiality awareness; alignment with the companys corporate culture. Others: Candidates with a background of studying in China or holding relevant HR professional certifications (e.g. SHRM-CP/SCP HRCI etc.) are preferred.
