Job Summary

TPF Recruitment are delighted to be representing a large and well-established independent firm based in Eastbourne in their search for a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager. The Role
As a Senior Audit and Accounts Manager you will work as part of the firms experienced Audit and Accounts team. The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts and tax compliance work. You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients overseeing assignments from planning through to completion and playing a key role in the development of the team and wider practice.

Key Responsibilities
Liaising with partners on client management practice development and business strategy
Managing a varied portfolio of clients including groups corporates not-for-profit entities CASS 5 and Solicitor Accounts Rules assignments
Leading engagements ensuring timely and efficient completion in line with professional and ethical standards
Reviewing accounts preparation and corporate tax computations
Maintaining high technical and professional standards while supporting and developing junior staff
Providing strategic insight into clients businesses identifying risks and opportunities to deliver high-quality audit services
Completing audit file reviews and ensuring compliance with quality standards
Implementing firm-wide compliance with regulatory and internal quality policies
Mentoring training and developing junior team members

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required
ACA or ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with appropriate experience
Minimum of 4 years practice experience including at least 3 years in an audit role
Strong technical knowledge of the Companies Act FRC Ethical Standard UK GAAP (FRS 102) LLP SORP and auditing standards
Awareness of current and upcoming developments in accounts and audit legislation
Proficiency with accountancy software such as CCH Xero Sage and QuickBooks
Excellent organisational communication and time management skills
Analytical mindset with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to manage teams effectively review work set workflow and provide training
Confident working both independently and collaboratively
