The selection process for this position will include a structured interview. Candidate responses to the interview questions will be scored and the selection will be made in accordance with the OCSEA/AFSCME Contract.

This position is overtime eligible based on FLSA Standards.

All bargaining unit new hires must serve a one (1) year probationary period.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check. An individual assessment of an applicants prior criminal convictions will be made before excluding an applicant from consideration.

Utilities Relocation Technician 1 Capital Programs PN

What You Will Do:

• Review permit applications & plans for proposed work within state from companies & local governmental agencies.

• Independently review & approve right-of-way use permits.

• Inspect work of contractors & personnel performing work on state highway right-of-ways as authorized by permit to ensure work is being performed in accordance with submitted approval plans & specifications & provide instruction as needed.

• Conduct onsite physical inspections of utility construction projects involving relocation &/or adjustment of utility facilities.
