Job Summary
Summer Internship - 8 weeks - Field based
Internship Objectives
- Gain an understanding of Ashlands Mission Statement and culture
- Gain an understanding of duties and responsibilities of the superintendent
- Develop a high-level understanding of project manager responsibilities
- Learn to read and understand plans and specifications
- Develop an understanding of scheduling and sequencing of the work
- Learn to monitor subcontractors performance at all times
- Develop an understanding of safe practices and how to enforce same
- Discuss quality assurance what it means and how to achieve it
- Develop an understanding of Ashlands Crisis Communication Plan
- Review Ashland office operations - Sales and Marketing Finance Administration Preconstruction Estimating project manager daily routines
