Job Summary

Burrow Global a leader in engineering and construction services is looking for 1 highly skilled Instrument Fitter for a project in Texas City TX. This project will last 4-6 weeks and be working a 5/10 shift schedule.

Note: No per diem is available on this assignment.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Reads and works from related blueprints and other schematic drawings
Installs and/or removes various instrumentation devices
Comprehensive knowledge of pneumatics electronics and electricity.
Cuts bends and installs pipe tubing or conduit for the installation of air or process lines for instrument controls using hacksaws and pipe cutters for the proper installation of the instrumentation device
Installs instruments instrument stands and control wiring to valves and strokes valves to verify operation
Installation and calibration of recorders alarms switches and other devices
May steam trace lines when necessary
May install flanges and orifice plates
May perform other duties necessary in order to remove install or troubleshoot instrumentation devices

Required Skills and Knowledge:

Must be NCCER Certified
Must be able to pass drug test and background check

Technical Skills:

Proficient in using hand tools such as wrenches pliers pipe cutters and other precision instruments.
Strong knowledge of various tubing materials (stainless steel copper nylon) and their appropriate joining methods.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
Understanding of pressure flow dynamics and instrumentation system requirements.

Physical Abilities:

Dexterity to work with small components and in confined spaces.
Ability to work at heights and in confined areas such as within plant facilities.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and strong visual acuity for precise measurements and installations.
