Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Database Analyst with a strong background in healthcare data particularly Medicaid to support data analysis reporting and visualization efforts for key state and federal programs. This role is 100% onsite in Tallahassee Florida and requires a U.S. Citizen who meets federal security eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze Medicaid claims eligibility provider and encounter data to identify trends anomalies and improvement opportunities.

• Support program evaluation policy analysis and operational decision-making through actionable data insights.

• Design and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau; present findings clearly to stakeholders.

• Collaborate with internal teams external partners and leadership to define data needs and deliver effective solutions.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and state data governance standards; document methodologies and assumptions for transparency.

• Support audits special projects and federal reporting initiatives as needed.

• Develop and validate data extracts for CMS and state reporting including performance metrics.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for recurring reports data pipelines and reporting logic.

• Apply machine learning or advanced analytics to enhance forecasting and risk stratification models.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science or a related field.

• 5 years of experience in data analysis preferably in healthcare or Medicaid environments.

• Strong proficiency in SQL/SAS with working knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.

• 3 years of experience with Power BI Tableau or similar data visualization tools.

• Strong understanding of healthcare data and claims-based datasets.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with state or federal healthcare programs.

• Knowledge of Medicaid managed care LTSS or waiver programs.

• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. Azure AWS).

• Experience in machine learning or advanced statistical modeling.

Additional Information

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have lived in the U.S. for the past 5 years.
