Position Overview:
The Amada Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up programming and operating Amada press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components according to blueprints and specifications with a dimensional tolerance of 0.010 inches. This role requires precision mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role requires precision mechanical aptitude and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operateAmada press brake machines (RG HRB & HG)to produce metal parts according to engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Interpret blueprints shop drawings and work orders to determine machine setup and production requirements.
- Select install and align appropriate tooling dies and fixtures for each job.
- Performfirst-piece inspectionsand ensure all parts meet dimensional and visual quality standards.
- Adjust machine settings and offsets as needed to maintain consistent quality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate production records including setup times quantities and inspection results.
- Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor or maintenance department.
- Handle material safely and maintain a clean organized work area.
- Follow allsafety protocolsand participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 yearsof experience operating anAmada press brake(required).
- Ability to read and interpretblueprints GD&T and setup sheets.
- Experience withAmada CNC controls (e.g. HG HRB RG or newer systems)a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of metal types thicknesses and bend allowances.
- Basic math and measurement skills using calipers micrometers and height gauges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- Willingness to work1st or 2ndshiftand occasional overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to75 lbsand stand for extended periods.
- Frequent bending reaching and manual handling of sheet metal materials.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
