The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve safety quality productivity and cost in an aluminum die casting environment. This position supports new product launches troubleshooting production issues continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional collaboration to achieve operational goals.

This is a Direct Hire role onsite full time splitting duties on shop floor and office.


What you will be doing as a Manufacturing Engineer

  • Analyze develop and implement improvements in manufacturing methods process flow tooling and equipment.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect data from the ERP system to support improvement initiatives and monitor project effectiveness.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality scrap or downtime issues.
  • Participate in APQP PPAP and new product launch activities; ensure manufacturability and smooth transition to production.
  • Design and specify fixturing tooling and layout changes as needed to improve workflow or quality.
    Collaborate with maintenance tooling and production teams to resolve process bottlenecks or technical challenges.
  • Support capital equipment justification and installation including development of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs).
  • Track and report on engineering projects downtime trends and continuous improvement metrics.
  • Ensure processes comply with safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and updated work instructions and process documentation.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (die casting or machining preferred).
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing process control and continuous improvement tools (e.g. Kaizen 5S Six Sigma).
  • Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Effective communicator and team player with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
