Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Primary Care
Location: Claremore OK
Schedule: Flexible days and times required
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our primary care team in Claremore. The LPN will provide high-quality care to patients who are sick injured convalescent or disabled. This position requires flexibility with scheduling and strong clinical skills particularly in wound care.
Key Responsibilities
Assume assigned patient load and provide care from admission through discharge.
Recognize and document changes in patient condition; promptly communicate updates to the RN or healthcare provider.
Collaborate with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to implement and update care plans.
Perform nursing treatments and procedures including:
Wound care and sterile dressing changes
Heat and cold therapy
IV therapy: starting maintaining and monitoring IVs
Inserting catheters and nasogastric (NG) tubes
Administering enemas and medications (including IV medications)
Setting up and assisting with oxygen suction and respiratory therapy
Provide care for patients in isolation and ensure infection control standards are met.
Accurately document all care provided treatments and patient responses.
Qualifications
License: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Oklahoma (required)
Experience: Minimum 3 years of LPN experience (required)
Specialty: Wound care experience required
Certifications: Current BLS certification (required)
Preferred Skills
Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety procedures
