Join our Revenue Management Team as a Collections Specialist located in our Phoenix office

This role will be based in our Phoenix office on a hybrid basis. Regular in-office presence is required for day-to-day operations as well as for team meetings training opportunities and relationship building. This role reports to the Director of Revenue Management.

Position Summary

The Collections Supervisor is responsible for the daily process and operations related to collections and collection drive processes. The collections supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the team meets performance targets and meets the goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) professional demeanor and presentation including active listening and ability to convey information clearly
  • Ability to prioritize workload and adapt to a fast-paced high-pressure environment to meet strict deadlines to achieve business goals and objectives
  • Oversees all aspects of the collections process
  • Provides guidance to the collections team to achieve the firms goals
  • Monitors team performance and takes corrective action when necessary to ensure that targets are met
  • Provides training to new hires and team members to improve skills and productivity
  • Develops and implements collections strategies to assist in meeting firm goals
  • Works closely with other departments to ensure that collections activities are aligned with the firms business strategies
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal clients to ensure they are meeting performance targets to facilitate the resolution of outstanding bills
  • Maintains accurate records of collections activities and reports regularly to management
  • Ensures that collections processes comply with all relevant laws and regulations
  • Attends monthly meetings with the finance team and with the attorneys
  • Conducts monthly review of AR/WIP for offices
  • Manages preparation for twice yearly collection drives including preparation of any specialized reporting
  • Highly motivated self-starter who can work well under minimal supervision as well as take a proactive approach in being team-oriented
  • High attention to detail outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills takes initiative and uses good judgment excellent follow-up skills
  • Proactive in identifying accounting issues and providing solutions

Qualifications


Skills & Competencies

Education & Prior Experience

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
  • Five or more years prior experience from a legal or service related industry

Technology

  • Aderant software Chrome River Prebill Viewer and Ebilling Hub experience helpful; collection experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software strong Excel preferred
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly

The expected pay range for this position is:

$93136 to$110000 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
