Step into Your New Role

Kleinfelders Long Island NY office is seeking a highly motivated Civil/Environmental Engineering Internfor the Summer of 2026to work in our lively office environment. The Long Island NY office has a particular strength in multi-disciplinary engineering projects and services projects routinelyprovides strategic planning regulatory compliance support and engineering services to a wide variety of private sector clients.

The successful student candidate will be able to follow proper procedures perform accurate computations and build strong working relationships with coworkers.

Under the direction of the Project Manager and/or Project Engineer specific expectations will include:

• Support multi-disciplinary project design development.
• Data entry and analysis.
• Technical writing and document review.
• Complete calculations and analyses and prepare reports.
• Potential to perform field work at project sites in New York and New Jersey.
• Work collaboratively and provide accurate data to a team as part of a hands-on learning experience.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid written and verbal fluency in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to complete site visits to project sites in New York and New Jersey.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS AutoCAD and MS Office is a plus.
• Interest in developing skills on a multi-disciplinary project team.

The expected salary range for the position is displayedin accordance withthe New York Wage Transparency Law. Finalagreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.Salary range: $21.09 per hour to $35.22 per hour.
