Your Mission
As a Technical Writer I you will support the creation review and maintenance of technical documentation for software and systems engineering projects. Youll transform complex technical information into clear accurate and user-friendly materials that support operations testing and end-user understanding.
You Will Excel In This Role If You Are:
- Detail-oriented with strong written communication skills
- Skilled at working with developers and engineers to translate technical details into understandable documentation
- Proficient with documentation tools such as MS Word PowerPoint and Visio
- Comfortable coordinating layout design and publication of technical materials
A Day In The Life Consists Of:
- Assisting in preparing and maintaining operations documentation user guides manuals and technical publications
- Writing technical content for hardware and software installation configuration and use
- Gathering technical information and preparing written text from engineering teams and project resources
- Creating and maintaining internal documentation libraries
- Formatting and reviewing technical publications for clarity and consistency
- Supporting all phases of documentation for a program or project
Must Haves:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- Two (2) years of experience as a Technical Writer on programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity
- Associates degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; an additional 2 years of experience may substitute for an Associates degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and documentation tools
Nice To Haves:
- Experience developing documentation for software or system engineering projects
- Familiarity with government or DoD documentation standards
