Job Summary
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Technician delivers patient care and performs clinical procedures within the scope of their licensure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Provider. Day-to-day job functions will include:
- Assisting with observation of patients gathering data and identifying patient care needs
- Responding to emergency situations
- Assisting with patient transport and transfer
- Assisting with cleaning stocking and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Adhering to safety and risk management standards
- Assisting with clerical and communication tasks to support patient care
Education and Training:
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent) and completion of one of the following:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program or
- Medical Assistant program or
- Certified Nursing Assistant program
Licensures/ Certifications:
- Current WA State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA); or
- Current WA State Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic license; or
- Current Washington State MA-Certified
- Current healthcare provider BLS certification
Experience:
- Previous health care experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Computer competency.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
