Job Summary

Summary:

TheâCorporate Partnership Managerâis responsible for driving new and renewed corporate sponsorship revenue for Memphis Zoo. This role focuses on cultivating securing and activating high-value partnerships. The ideal candidate is a proactive relationship-builder with experience in sponsorship sales exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

This role is designed with long-term growth in mind offering increased responsibility as the corporate partnership portfolio evolves. Opportunities available for significant professional growth within an expanding department.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Partnership Sales & Development

  • Prospect pitch and secure new corporate partnerships with an emphasis on multi-year agreements and naming-rights opportunities.
  • Manage a strong sales pipeline to meet or exceed annual revenue targets.
  • Develop customized sponsorship packages aligned with Zoo programs events exhibits and strategic initiatives.
  • Maintainaccuratesales reportingand documentation.

Sponsor Activation & Fulfillment

  • Lead execution of all partnership deliverables and ensure exceptional fulfillment.
  • Coordinate with Marketing Events Operations and other departments to execute activations and contractual benefits.
  • Manage mid-year and end-of-year recap reporting and renewal proposals.
  • Ensure sponsor branding signage and activations meet Zoo standards.

Client Relations & Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all corporate partners.
  • Build andmaintainstrong trust-based relationships with new and existing partners.
  • Gather and document partner feedback to improve sponsorship performance and retention.

Departmental & Strategic Support

  • Support long-term strategy for sponsorship growth.
  • Helpidentifynew revenue opportunities and partnership categories.
  • Assistin developing sponsorship-related processes and internal standards.
  • Contribute to a scalable department structure as revenue grows.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 3 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following:
  • Corporate sponsorship sales.
  • Partnership development.
  • Business development or revenue-generating sales roles.
  • (Nonprofit cultural institution sports entertainment or hospitality experience acceptable).
  • Demonstrated experience securing new business including:
    • Prospecting and pitching to corporate clients.
    • Closing revenue-generating agreements.
    • Managing a sales pipeline toward defined revenue goals.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 5 years of experience in corporate sponsorships or strategic partnerships.
  • Background in nonprofit organizations cultural institutions sports entertainment or attractions.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets tied to sponsorship or partnership portfolios.

Reporting Structure: Reports to Director of Marketing & Events

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time salary positions are defined as positions scheduled to work approximately 40 hours a week. Scheduling is at the discretion of the manager.

This position is considered exempt under the federal and state wage and hour laws.

Scheduling Availability Requirements:

This position requires flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays based on Sponsor activations.

Work Environment: This role operates in office settings Zoo grounds on-site events and occasional off-site partner engagements. The position requires adaptability collaboration and a high level of professionalism in all interactions.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This position requires frequent ability to stand or walk for extended periods during events. Occasional bending/kneeling and occasional lifting and carrying of objects up to 50 pounds. Position also requires ability to navigate through Zoo grounds with or without the use of an electric golf cart. Exposure to varied weather conditions will occur during events.

Additional Compensation

  • Commission:âTiered (46%)
  • Growth Milestones:
    • $1.25M annual revenue $5000 performance bonus
    • $1.75M annual revenue Evaluation for Account Executive support
    • $2.00M annual revenue Transition to Corporate Partnership Director
