Position Summary
The Disease Group Supervisor ( DGS ) will be responsible for directing and managing specified Disease Groups within the LSUHSC Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office (CC- CTO ). The Disease Group Supervisor will ensure safe compliant efficient and effective conduct of clinical trials within the disease groups portfolio. They may be expected to perform or provide guidance for direct patient care in relationship to study protocol requirements. The DGS will establish implement and evolve operational standards monitor quality and progress and supervise the CC- CTO Clinical Trial Coordinators ( CTC ) and RN CTCs. This position requires a strong emphasis on portfolio management quality and accountability and process improvement and growth. The incumbent will work within a multidisciplinary environment with colleagues both internally and externally in a cooperative manner exercising respectfulness and professionalism. They will also serve as a resource regarding clinical research clinical trial protocols and compliance for Investigators Nurses Pharmacists Pathologists Radiologists and other healthcare personnel involved in the care and management of clinical research patients.
