WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Dallas is located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln Dallas TX 75231

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Nights: 7 PM -7 AM for a total of 36 hours a week with some weekends and holidays.

MEDICAL ICU DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:

Intensivist program that provide 24/7 coverage

The new medical complex is devoted to intensive care for the regions most critically ill patients..

Continuous education provided for commonly used devices.

Involved Unit Based Council

Opportunities available to get involved in unit and hospital affairs

Self-scheduling

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) Required

BSN preferred.

1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;

One or more years of ICU experience strongly preferred; would consider Emergency PACU or PCU

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire.

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support --Prior to providing Independent patient care and maintained quarterly

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support--within 90 days of hire

CPI-Crisis Prevention Intervention training within 60 days of hire is required

A high degree of confidentiality positive interpersonal skills and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.

The professional nurse demonstrates an appreciation of unique meanings by:

active listening and exemplifying a non-judgmental attitude

The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patients affiliations.

Perform other duties as assigned
