Job Summary
Responsible and accountable for providing placement of vascular access devices within the inpatient and outpatient hospital setting. In addition collaborates with nursing and medical staff to determine the most appropriate candidates for PICC Midline and Peripheral IV insertions and provides clinical staff with education relative to care and maintenance of the PICC lines Midlines and Peripheral IVs. Provides direct nursing care including assessment plan of care education and evaluation for assigned patients during admission discharge or transfer settings while supporting patient throughput.

- Completes all needed competencies in PICC Power Glide and US PIV placements.
- Completes competency in 3cg tip confirmation.
- Recognizes and assists in the treatment of medication reactions and documents appropriately.
