Come join the team that literally serves Grab - Grabs Sentry team. . You will be reporting to Engineering Manager II. The systems we oversee process billions of network messages for Grabs consumers every day without fail. We work with the infrastructure security and product teams and are looking for experienced engineers to join our platform team!

This role is onsite based in our Petaling Jaya Malaysia office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will build and own Grabs Secrets Management Platform which serves hundreds of backend services that run Grab behind the scene.
• You will work at Grabs Malaysia R&D Center integrated with software engineering and product teams to help build rock-solid and secure solutions with the right interface technology and practices.
• You will be at home in a HA cloud environment and build scalable zero-downtime solutions.
• You will independently drive projects across teams end to end from inception to rollout.
• You will find and troubleshoot issues in Grabs infrastructure and codebase.
• You will implement quality solutions and maintain the high bar of standards for code reviews and deployment processes.
• You will mentor peers and promote development and best practices while achieving excellent user experience.

Qualifications :

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You have 2 years of experience in a backend development
• Expert in at least one of C C Go C# Java Python
• Knowledge in AWS
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts
• Knowledge in building systems
• Understand common patterns and algorithms to navigate different code bases for debugging and troubleshooting

Your Advantage

• Familiarly with HashiCorp Vault or similar secret management systems
• Understanding of multiple networking protocols
• Understanding of distributed system algorithms and protocols
• Knowledge in building monitoring and alerting systems
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and large-scale Docker / Kubernetes deployments
