Job Summary

Here is what you will do:

  • Lead the technical design and delivery of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Building Management Systems (BMS) for large and complex projects. 

  • Define system architectures network topologies and control strategies aligned with project requirements and client standards. 

  • Provide expert oversight into system design programming integration and commissioning activities. 

  • Review and approve design drawings control schematics points lists and sequence of operations. 

  • Ensure systems are designed for interoperability with HVAC lighting energy management and IoT systems. 

  • Mentor and guide controls engineers programmers and commissioning teams. 

  • Maintain compliance with relevant standards (ASHRAE ISO EN local codes) and cybersecurity best practices for BAS. 

  • Collaborate closely with project managers MEP teams and clients to ensure technical excellence and seamless integration. 

  • Contribute to innovation initiativesparticularly around smart buildings digital twins analytics and open protocols (BACnet Modbus KNX etc.). 

  • Support business development through technical presentations tender documentation and client engagement. 


Qualifications :

Heres what were looking for:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Mechanical Building Services or Controls Engineering. 

  • 8 years of experience in the design implementation and commissioning of BAS/BMS systems. 

  • Proven leadership experience in delivering large or multi-site automation projects. 

  • Strong knowledge of BAS protocols (BACnet Modbus LonWorks KNX etc.) and integration with other building systems. 

  • Hands-on experience with at least one major BAS platform (e.g. Siemens Schneider Electric Honeywell etc.). 

  • Excellent understanding of control logic networking and system architecture. 

  • Strong project coordination communication and mentoring skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Masters degree in Building Automation Controls Engineering or related field. 

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) accreditation. 

  • Experience with IoT data analytics and cloud-based building management platforms. 

  • Familiarity with BIM integration digital engineering and smart building technologies. 

  • Cybersecurity awareness for operational technology (OT) networks. 

  • Experience in energy optimization and sustainability-driven automation solutions.
