Job Summary
Job Description
- Write complex algorithms to get an optimal solution
- Use distributed computing to validate and process large volumes of data to deliver insights
- Interface with product and other engineering teams
- Design & develop data ingestion and processing pipelines using Spark Scala Python Hive and databases
- Write complex maintainable code to develop scalable data processing engines using Spark Scala Apache Hive and databases
- Work on Cloud technologies; including PAAS data warehousing and data lake
- Evaluate technologies we can leverage including open-source frameworks libraries and tools
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of the cloud based Big Data Solution - conceptualize design develop test and deploy
Qualifications :
- Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field
- 3 years of applicable data engineering experience including Big Data technologies
- Strong fundamentals in Git and code management
- Good experience working in large data sets with hands-on technology skills to design and build robust big data solutions using Spark framework Azure services and industry standard frameworks such as Databricks and other tools & technologies.
- Hands-on experience in configuration management monitoring and performance tuning of Spark based platforms
- Strong fundamentals in distributed computing principles data mining & data processing methodologies
- Excellent problem solving hands-on engineering and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of data structures algorithms and designing for performance scalability and availability
- Orchestration and messaging frameworks: Airflow Messaging Frameworks etc.
- Experience in Azure or any cloud computing
- Knowledge of and Experience in DevOps is a plus (Docker GitHub Actions etc.)
