Department Profile
Investment Solutions Technology (IST) is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firms Wealth Management Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions within the Alternative Investment space supporting one of the Firms key strategic growth areas. Our mission is to deliver state-of-the-art technology for Financial Advisors (FAs) empowering them to provide clients with access to a broad range of alternative investment products and services.
IST partners closely with product specialists and Financial Advisors to design and build sophisticated solutions tailored to the needs of our Wealth Management clients. Our applications enable FAs to seamlessly access analyze and transact in alternative investment opportunities driving business growth and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Position Description:
As part of our strategy to design and implement industry-leading applications the Morgan Stanley Investment Solutions Technology (IST) team within Wealth Management Technology is seeking Senior Developer Software Engineers to join a technologically advanced and innovative team. This role focuses on building out strategic technology platforms and solutions for the Alternative Investment Front Office team.
This is a hands-on Senior Developer position where you will work closely with product specialists and Financial Advisors to deliver state-of-the-art applications supporting the Alternative Investment space. The team is responsible for designing and maintaining applications that enable seamless access analysis and transactions in alternative investment opportunities for our Wealth Management clients.
The ideal candidate will be a strong C# Angular and SQL full-stack developer with a proven track record of ownership and delivery in complex projects. Experience showcasing ownership skills in production support project delivery and deployment tasks is essential. Exposure to cloud technologies is a plus.
Job Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the innovative development and maintenance of Angular distributed applications
* Participating in Onshore/Offshore teams/squads
* Interpreting business requirements and specifications
* Coordinating with QA for testing Skills Required:
* C#.NET Web API Angular 11 development skills
* Microsoft SQL 2016 or comparable database technology
* Knowledge of Agile and DevOps SDLC processes
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* SDLC Tools including JIRA GIT etc.
Skills Desired:
* Brokerage/Financial Industry Experience
* Kafka MQ or other messaging/event driven technology
* Private Cloud preferably Microsoft Azure
Educational Qualification:
* Minimum BS degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
