The City of Colorado Springs is ready to welcome an Equipment Operator II to their Public Works Maintenance Operations division! As an Equipment Operator for this team you willconstruct and maintain traffic sign and markings infrastructure for the Citys Public Works Department. This team ensures the safe and efficient flow of traffic by installing repairing and replacing signage and pavement markings in accordance with city addition to operating specialized equipment you will also assist with inspections and perform routine maintenance.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate: Knowledge of:
Pertinent federal state and localguidelines and standards
Software programs used in the operation of print machines and creation ofdesigns
Methods and techniques of sign design
Ability to:
Safely operate a variety of equipment and hand tools
Safely operate assigned vehicle
Communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing
Establish and maintain effective working relationships
Minimum Qualifications
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade (high school diploma or GED)
Three years of full-time professional experience in related field
Possess or obtain upon hire and maintain a valid non-probationary Colorado drivers license not subject to restrictions
Possess upon hire and maintain a valid non-probationary Colorado Class B CDL not subject to restrictions is required for this position
