About the role:
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent Industrial Mechanic Apprentices are responsible for inspecting repairing and maintaining the processing plants stationary equipment.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood B.C is necessary.

In this role you will:

    • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
    • Maintain and service the processing plants stationary equipment including pumps gearboxes chain-drive conveyors belts hydraulics and pneumatics
    • Install inspect and repair mechanical and hydraulic components
    • In certain components of this role it is mandatory to wear a respirator which requires an interference free seal

Requirements:

    • Registered 3rd or 4th year Industrial Mechanic Apprentice
    • Valid drivers license
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
    • Previous mining experience is an asset
$101000 - $111000 a year
Base earnings reflected in salary range includes the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
