The Role You will promote a culture of Operational Excellence as well as the development of strategies that contribute to sustainably improving OEE and GCC. Lead the optimization of processes and systems through the plants OEX team with a Lean approach focused on eliminating non-value-added activities.
What Youll Do (Impact Areas):
Identify OEE/GCC improvement opportunities through data analytics benchmarking against the best local regional and global performance.
Define the plants 3-year breakthrough objectives and break them down into 1-year targets.
Create an action plan to improve CMS 2.0 maturity level ensuring impact on the Operational Excellence culture.
Develop a roadmap for projects focused on OEE and GCC improvement through Lean projects digitalization or data-driven initiatives integrating regional strategic initiatives and resource requirements for implementation.
Identify opportunities for Kaizen based on deviations from targets and findings from Gemba walks and create a plan to execute workshops for priority issues involving key personnel (Leaders Supervisors and Operators).
Identify gaps in methodologies and tools and plan their implementation for problem solving.
Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives in the plant and workshops on critical opportunities and involve key personnel while promoting their transition to lead these workshops with close support to ensure success.
Execute promote and guide planned and focused Gemba Walks listening to employees about problems and suggestions and taking action accordingly.
Ensure project progress on time and in full escalate risks update changes and secure achievement of objectives.
Share and promote best practices across other areas of the same plant and with other plants on a monthly basis. Advise Plant Manager and Area Heads on key decisions to anticipate monthly and annual results.
Guide and advise leaders (managers heads supervisors) on the Daily Management System from agenda creation to action-taking and effectiveness validation. Provide guidance on the correct use of tools systems and the CMS 2.0 (OEX) model.
Determine training needs for leaders and operators to improve management and results and design an annual training plan.
Promote the empowerment of operational personnel to use tools and systems to implement improvements.
Lead the implementation and adoption of the OEX recognition system to acknowledge individuals and/or teams with the best results in improving performance and behaviors through their leaders.
What You Bring (Qualifications):
Bachelors degree in industrial engineering Mechanical Mechatronics Manufacturing or related fields.
5 years experience with advanced Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools as well as leading high-impact and complex projects to improve efficiency.
Bilingual Spanish/English.
Expert in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Knowledge of root cause analysis problem-solving 5S Kaizen VSM Gemba Coaching High-Performance Teams and EGE. Proficient in TPM Gap Analysis and Industrial Engineering.
Familiar with manufacturing system principles as well as plant operational and transactional processes. A portfolio of campaigns/content that moved reputation or business outcomes.
