Job Summary

The Position

TheInstruction Leadership andInnovation Divisionis now accepting applications for Grants Program Specialist.

Under assigned supervision supports the implementation and sustainability of an assigned grant-funded program(s) by administering fiscal and data systems ensuring compliance and assisting in the coordination of program operations; provides analysis and reporting to inform decision-making; supports cross-agency collaboration; serves as a strategic liaison and provides technical assistance to internal and external stakeholders in support of the programs mission

This position is full-time in-person and has a work year of 12 months 261 days 8 hours a day.

Two positions are available one in each of the following departments:

- Learning and Instruction

- Education Preparation Programs. This is grant or Federal/State categorical funded until June 30 2029. The Educator Preparation Programs Department expects to apply for an extension.

Education and Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Any combination equivalent to:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in business administration public administration education or a related field and
  • Experience: Two years of experience performing duties related to the implementation and administration of grant-funded programs including technical assistance fiscal oversight and data management. Experience in performing these functions within a public agency is preferred.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURES

  • Assessments and interviews will take place virtually or in-person.
  • Following the final filing date the qualifications of all candidates will be evaluated.
  • Themost qualified candidateswill be invited to participatein a written exam tentatively scheduled forNovember 13 2025 .
  • Those who pass the written exam will be invited to participate in an oral examination with subject matter experts tentatively scheduled for November 20 2025.
  • Based on the final scores of qualified candidates Classified Personnel Services will establish a ranked candidate list.
  • Selected candidates from the list will be invited to a second interview with the hiring authorities tentatively scheduled for TBD.
  • Candidates will be invited over email to participate in examination and selection steps using the email supplied within or as updated by candidates in it is recommended that candidates check their email at least daily.

NOTE: Examination procedures are subject to change as deemed necessary by the Director - Classified Personnel Services. Candidates who test successfully for placement on the eligibility list may be certified to other related positions without further testing requirements OR job posting announcements.
