Requirements
This Finance Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Finance and Accounting Department with many of its administrative and clerical duties.
- Assist with Invoice Dispute Resolution (IDR) activities ensuring accurate customer setup proper documentation and timely reconciliation of customer accounts.
- Perform timesheet follow-ups to ensure accurate and timely labor entry and compliance.
- Maintain and update project workforce assignments within Costpoint to reflect current staffing.
- Assist with document preparation including formatting work instructions process guides and training materials.
- Pull and distribute reports required for internal and external audits.
- Process PO voucher uploads and verify accuracy of supporting documentation.
- Provide collections support including compiling remittance details and following up on outstanding payments.
- Perform miscellaneous reconciliations and data validation within Costpoint as assigned.
- Support ad hoc financial and administrative projects as needed.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance and accounting department.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus two years of accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of general accounting practices.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must have strong problem-solving skills strong ability to multi-task prioritize and be well organized.
