Role Overview:
The Inventory Specialist supports the receiving inventory movements and shipping activities including off-site storage in order to ensure consistent internal and external customer satisfaction. Duties may vary to include some or all of the following job responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in leading daily warehouse activities which include safely loading/unloading trucks documenting inbound & outbound materials storing of inbound/outbound materials and preparation of customer orders.
- Utilize the ERP system to ensure material availability in support of production requirements.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical cycle counts reconciling with ERP system.
- Manages the disposition of the returned skus in a timely manner.
- Supports receiving warehousing and shipping operations by initiating coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal state and local warehousing material and shipping requirements.
- Works with Warehouse Supervisor to maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing design layouts inspecting equipment issuing maintenance work orders for repair and requisitions as needed.
- Supports and upholds established Tredit Tire & Wheel policies procedures objectives quality improvement and safety environment.
- Provides coaching and counseling to employees by planning monitoring and appraising job results.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong leadership interpersonal and communication skills
- Good decision-making and planning skills.
- Enthusiastic self-starter energetic organized and service minded.
- Ability to multitask and cope with a wide range of situations.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in manufacturing business administration or related field strongly preferred. Equivalent years of experience taken into consideration.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in ERP and Warehouse Management Systems with procurement transactions data capture analysis and reporting preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Software (Outlook Word Excel) and Adobe.
- Knowledge working with Syspro or similar ERP software strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Regularly required to sit.
- Must be able to frequently use hands and talk or hear.
- Must be able to occasionally stand walk and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 15 pounds at times.
- The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
