Objective of the role

Within the Finance department the Data Stewards are part of DTO and responsible for ensuring that Finance has a single platform with high quality and consistent data for various internal and external reporting use cases. The Data Stewards effectively help to ensure that AYVENS has high quality data in finance to meet the relevant accounting and prudential (reporting) requirements perform reporting to various stakeholders and assist the group in decisions that are affected and/or driven by (prudential) regulations.
Area of responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse business requirements for data needed for various monthly and quarterly regulatory and statistical reports Ayvens finance needs to complete:

    • Assist the (regulatory) reporting specialists with defining and analysing the business and data re-quirements for the regulatory reporting process. Facilitate workshops with the various stakeholders involved in the process to understand and gather requirements. Translate the data need into con-cise and clear data requirements. Document these requirements and ensure understanding is com-municated with delivering parties (Digital / IT Risk Management Treasury etc.)

    • Play a key role in the implementation of IT process and reporting changes because of the changing (regulatory) reporting requirements and further automation of the finance and regulatory reporting by reducing end-user computing.

    • Assist IT teams in setting up the proper environments to support the regulatory reporting process including required data sets. Create functional designs and be involved in the creation and validation of the corresponding solution and (detailed) technical designs. This also includes the design and setup of data flows and lineage for regulatory reporting data sets or creation of mapping and report addition this includes testing and validation the designs and outputs created by the delivering parties (e.g. Digital / IT Risk Management Treasury etc.).

    • Maintain the functional (and technical) regulatory reporting data flows and process together with stakeholders involved.

    • Cooperate with other (Finance) teams to align data acquisition consumption and create harmonised data sets for internal and external purposes: Assist the reporting specialists to further streamline the data processes and flows within Finance. Collaborate with different stakeholders in Finance to establish and expand a single source of truth for data. Being involved in the further roll-out and shaping of the data stewardship role within Finance.

    • Define requirements for data quality analyse data sets and follow-up in proposing remedial actions to improve data sets used in reporting:

    • Define requirements for business rules data quality requirements and reporting on this so IT developments can develop this. Use the reports and tools to analyse the quality of existing data sets used by the team detect anomalies and propose remedial actions. Be involved in the definition and remedial processes.

    • Data stewardship Execute the role of data (quality) steward and maintain an overview od data quality issues and causes monitoring quality and follow ups with domain experts domain process owners and countries. Furthermore the person will liaise with and support entities and corporate functions in the process of improving data quality.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years relevant work experience in a reporting data analyst or controlling role within an international financial services company or big-4 firm. Lease industry experience is considered a strong plus.

  • Strong analytic skills;

  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)

  • Excellent Excel and data analysis skills (e.g. SQL PowerBI)

  • Proven experience with requirements setting large data sets and reporting thereof. Experience with relevant regulatory reporting (e.g. CoRep FinRep LCR) and/or requirements is considered a strong plus.

  • Experience in (large) IT / data projects change management and AGILE methodology.

  • Demonstrated management skills including team leadership project coordination.

  • Experienced in managing complex projects with high stakes in international environments.
