Superior Completion Services is currently seeking a Warehouse Worker 1 to join their team in Lafayette LA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Material Handling - Receiving unloading and storing parts and products in an organized manner within the warehouse. Storing parts in their designated locations in the inventory area.
• Inventory Management-Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels tracking stocking and conducting regular cycle counts. Ensure that all finished products are used in a rotation following the First In First Out (FIFO) principle.
• Order Picking and Packing-Selecting items from stock to fulfill customer orders and prepare them to be issued to the assembly shop. Scanning completed documentation into the Company database.
• Quality Control- Provide outstanding service to our customers. Inspecting products to ensure they are not damaged defective or have any other discrepancies. Any issues are to be reported to the Quality department.
• Equipment and Operation-Safely operating forklifts pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Perform daily inspections on forklifts craness and various other material-handling equipment.
• Documentation-Maintain proper documentation on all orders shipments receipts and inventory transactions. Scanning completed work orders into the company database.
• Safety- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Participate in the companys Sharp Card Program. Report any injuries accidents or unsafe conditions to a Manager or Safety Coordinator immediately.
• Cleaning and Maintenance-Keeping the warehouse clean and organized and performing routine inspections on material handling equipment. (Forklift crane etc.)
• Teamwork-Collaboratewith coworkers to meet productivity goals and ensure smooth warehouse operations.

• Adhere to on-call/off-call work schedule being available on short notice around the clock and on-call week.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma/GED.
• 1-3 years Experience in warehousing.
• Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
• Forklift certification is also a plus.
• Basic understanding of MS Office products Adobe PDF and other computer programs.

Technical Skills:

• Basic math skills are needed for business calculations
• Computer skills required for data entry and reporting
• Understanding written statements in work-related documents
• Proficient in the operation of a forklift
• Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
• Current health safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
• Knowledge of relevant equipment policies procedures and strategies to promote safe operations
• Ethical business practices
• Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks

• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted
• Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner according to applicable procedures and/or work order

• Perform routine inventory cycle counts according to the standard operating procedure
• Read interpret and work from drawings schematics diagrams sketches or specifications

• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Sitting - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
• Standing - for extended periods without being able to leave the work area.
• Climbing - ladders scaffolding work in overhead areas etc.
• Walking - considerable distances please indicate.
• Lifting - Up to 50 Lbs. minimum & on an occasional basis.
• Pulling and/or pushing on a frequent basis
• Carrying - regularly carries objects in his/her arms or on the shoulder(s)
• Grasping - regularly picks up objects with fingers.
• Reaching - regularly required to use hands and arms to reach objects.
• Stooping/Crouching regularly required to bend forward by bending at the waist or by bending legs and spine
• Crawling - required to work in confined spaces crawl and move about on hands and knees
• Speaking - requires expressing ideas through the spoken word.
• Listening - requires the perception of speech or the nature of sounds in the air.
