Job Summary

Our client develops and delivers advanced electronic control systems for the global automotive industry. With customers across Europe the US India and the UK they combine deep engineering expertise with long-term customer partnerships from concept and prototyping to certification and mass production.

They are now looking for an experienced and passionate Hardware Engineer to join their R&D team in Enebyberg Danderyd.

About the role

As a Hardware Engineer you will be part of a dedicated team developing advanced electronic control units (ECUs) and power electronics systems for applications such as vehicles marine gensets and power generation.

You will be involved throughout the full development cycle from concept simulation and PCB design to validation and certification. Collaboration with embedded software test and functional safety engineers is a natural part of the daily work.

Main responsibilities include:
Hardware design and development for embedded control systems
Work with microcontrollers FPGAs and IC design
Perform HW simulations (SPICE) and signal integrity analysis
Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Eagle or similar tools
Conduct EMC and EMI testing and validation
Develop power converters battery management systems and switched power supplies
Support customers from specification to production

Tech and Tools

Embedded C Microcontrollers FPGAs PCB CAD (Altium Eagle) SPICE Power Converter Design Boost Converter Battery Management EMC and EMI Design Functional Safety (ISO 26262) LabVIEW E-sim Signal Processing

Who they are looking for

Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Computer or Mechatronics Engineering
Solid experience in embedded hardware design and power electronics
Strong interest in electronics and product development someone who enjoys seeing their designs come to life
Fluent in English both spoken and written

It is a plus if you have:
Experience of low level software such as Hardware Interface (HWIF) and eTPU coding
Experience from the automotive or marine industry
Knowledge of functional safety and firmware integration
Experience working closely with customers and project partners
