Employment Type: PRN
Pay Rate: $10 - $14/hr; (Negotiable based on experience)
Shifts Available: 8-hr Shifts
- 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM 11:00 PM
- 11:00 PM 7:00 AM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our care team on a PRN basis. The GNA will provide high-quality care and assistance to residents ensuring their comfort safety and well-being in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming feeding and toileting.
- Provide mobility support including transferring residents safely between bed chair and wheelchair.
- Monitor and record residents vital signs and report any significant changes to the nurse on duty.
- Maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for residents.
- Support residents emotional and social needs through compassionate interaction.
- Adhere to infection control safety and confidentiality standards.
- Assist with restorative and rehabilitation care plans as directed by nursing staff.
- Participate in ongoing training and team meetings as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
