Job Summary

Job Summary:

This position is for a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) in an OBGYN outpatient clinic. The role involves assisting with procedures patient care and administrative tasks. The position is a 13-week contract with 4x10-hour day shifts.
Location:Seattle Washington United States
Responsibilities:

- Assisting with OBGYN procedures such as LEEP/colposcopy and IUD insertions.
- Providing patient care in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Charting using EPIC electronic health record system.
- Floating within skillset to meet facility needs.
- Answering unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:

- MA-C (Medical Assistant-Certified) is REQUIRED.
- BLS certification.
- At least 6 months of experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic.
- EPIC charting experience.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- OBGYN experience.
- Procedure experience like LEEP/colposcopy.
- Experience with IUD insertions.
Special Considerations:

- Candidate is expected to have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions.
- Facility may call off traveler UP TO 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks).
- Must be open and willing to go perm.
Scheduling:
- 4x10hr Days 0700-1730; Mon-Fri but with 1 alternating day off each week.
- No weekend requirement.
- No on-call requirement.
