About the job:
Advantra is partnering with a Series A CPG SaaS startup in New York to hire a Deductions Specialist to help brands optimize accounting and deductions workflows.
About the role:
You will support accounting and deduction teams translate user pain into product improvements and ensure customer success with the platform.
Responsibilities:
- Support accounting and deduction teams during implementation to ensure successful onboarding.
- Help users troubleshoot challenges and collect feedback to improve the product.
- Translate user pain points into actionable software improvements.
- Build and maintain documentation for retailer and distributor deduction processes.
- Document cash application and deductions management workflows within the product.
- Partner with the sales team during calls and customer interactions.
Core requirements:
- 3 years of deductions experience at a brand with $20M in sales.
- Accounting degree or equivalent experience as a staff accountant.
- Strong understanding of cash application and deduction processes.
- Ability to document complex workflows clearly.
- Experience collaborating with sales or customer success teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have:
- Experience with SaaS or accounting automation tools.
- Knowledge of CPG industry workflows.
- Familiarity with ERP or financial systems.
- Experience in training or supporting users.
- Startup experience in a fast-growing environment.
