Job Summary:
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) provides appropriate nursing care as directed by a Registered Nurse. This includes gathering and reporting data carrying out orders and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner consistent with established policies and procedures.

Location:Canandaigua New York United States
Responsibilities:
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out physician orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures on patients.
- Provide nursing care as directed by an RN.
- Perform specimen collection.
- Monitor vital signs.
- Perform follow up phone calls.
- Interpret laboratory results.
- Label specimens.
- Perform medication reconciliation.
- Manage pharmacy calls and patient refill requests.
- Set up aseptic/sterile procedure trays.
- Perform telephone triage.
- Collect throat specimens.
- Obtain and instruct clean catch urine.
- Perform simple dressing changes.
- Perform Pap Smears.
- Collect vaginal specimens.
- Perform EKG.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Monitor patient health questionnaire/history/allergies.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic and Genitourinary/Renal settings.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in OB/GYN Outpatient Clinic and Genitourinary/Renal settings.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience.

Special Considerations:
- Must work 1 of 3 holidays at a lower rate.
- Limited RTO is preferred during the 13-week contract.
- Float to all other offices as needed.

- M-F: 7a - 5:30p - 40 hrs.
