Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures. This role involves direct patient care monitoring and assisting physicians during procedures. The RN must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively to emergency situations. On-call responsibilities and potential floating to EP or IR may be required.
Location:Anchorage Alaska United States
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and assess patient condition.
- Assist physicians with procedures and administer medications as directed.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide necessary interventions.
- Document patient care and procedures accurately.
- Float to EP or IR as needed to meet facility needs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active AK RN license in hand for Auto Offer
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab
- Skills in Per UD
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in EP or IR
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities required: 1 day per week and 4th/5th weekend (Friday at 1800-Monday at 0730)
- Weekend on-call required approximately 1 Saturday per month as part of the scheduled 4 shifts/week
- May float to EP or IR to meet facility needs
- Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer. Only 1 time off request per 13 week assignment.
Scheduling:
- 4x10 Days shifts
- 70 Hours per 2 weeks guaranteed hours
- Traveler can be called off for 1 10-hour shift per 2 weeks
