Power Automated RPA Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Power Automate Developer to lead assist in the migration of existing Blue Prism RPA processes to Microsoft Power Automate (Desktop and Cloud Flows). The developer will analyze redesign and rebuild automation processes currently implemented in Blue Prism ensuring functionality is preserved or enhanced while leveraging Power Automates best practices and integration capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment & Analysis (lead Dev only)
  • Review and document existing Blue Prism automations including process flows subflows reusable components and integrations.
  • Analyze dependencies such as SharePoint Outlook Excel SQL APIs Mainframe apps (IBM PCOM) Green Screen and IE-based automations.
  • Identify migration challenges (e.g. Internet Explorer deprecation mainframe emulators PeopleSoft access API availability).
• Migration & Development
  • Rebuild Blue Prism bots into Power Automate Desktop flows and Power Automate Cloud flows.
  • Replace IE automations with modern browsers (Edge/chrome) using UI automation or APIs where possible.
  • Integrate with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook SharePoint Excel Teams) and external systems (Tableau SQL Server IBM PCOM PeopleSoft).
  • Develop reusable subflows custom connectors and error handling mechanisms in Power Automate.
  • Should be able to design develop and implement automation solutions using Power Platform Components.
• Testing & Validation
  • Conduct unit and integration testing for each migrated bot to ensure functional parity with Blue Prism processes.
  • Collaborate with business users to perform UAT and sign-off.
• Optimization & Documentation
  • Optimize automations for performance maintainability and scalability.
  • Document process logic configuration details and operational guides for each migrated bot.
  • Should be able to analyze and document business process to identify automation opportunities as well as optimization opportunities for existing automations.
  • Provide handover and training to the operations team.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of hands-on RPA development experience with at least 3 years in Power Automate (Desktop & Cloud).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Outlook SharePoint Excel Teams)
  • Power Automate connectors and API integrations
  • SQL operations and data handling
  • Dataverse automation
• Familiarity with Excel automation data transformation and email automation.
• Ability to handle complex workflows with multiple subflows and reusable components.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience in migrating automations from Blue Prism or other RPA tools to Power Automate.
• UI automation for desktop web and mainframe applications.
• Experience automating with legacy systems such as IBM PCOM Green Screen PeopleSoft.
• Past experience in Azure Logic Apps (applicable to Flow/ Power Automate skills).
• Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps Power BI Dataverse).
• Knowledge of Tableau automation via UI and APIs.
• Experience in process optimization and RPA best practices.
